In September, logistics company VEGA Logistic increased its intermodal road transport service between Wörth am Rhein, Germany, and Fernetti (near Trieste), Italy, to three trips per week. This decision is due to growing transport volumes and strong customer demand.

Starting in January 2026, VEGA Logistic plans to further increase the frequency of trips to four to six per week. According to the company, each round trip reduces carbon dioxide emissions by up to 50 tons, making the route a new benchmark in sustainable road transport.

By expanding its collaboration with partner Contargo, VEGA Logistic confirms its commitment to developing sustainable logistics solutions and strengthening intermodal transport links in Europe.
