Several shipping companies have launched new regular services within the European shortsea network at the Port of Antwerp-Bruges, strengthening the port’s role as a key hub for short-sea shipping and expanding its geographic reach.

Starting May 10, 2025, CLdN launched a weekly LOLO service to the Irish ports of Cork and Dublin, using the 804 TEU MS JSP Rover. The new route compensates for the loss of capacity following the breakdown of the MS Delphine and improves the efficiency of CLdN’s fleet. Starting July 29, WEC Lines also launched weekly services from Zeebrugge to Dublin, calling in Le Havre, using the 862 TEU MS Trouper.

In June, CMA CGM Shortsea Line launched a second feeder service, BALT2, between Zeebrugge and the Baltic states of Riga, Klaipėda, and Gdansk, complementing the existing BALT1 route. On June 23, Finnlines added the Polish port of Gdynia to its RORO service from Antwerp and Zeebrugge to the UK and the Baltic region, transporting trailers, cars, containers, and project cargo.
