The Port of Gdansk will conduct a business mission to Tokyo to develop Polish-Japanese trade.

On November 27, 2025, the Port of Gdańsk will host an economic mission in Tokyo, which could catalyze the development of trade relations between Poland and Japan, the world’s fourth-largest economy and one of the most promising destinations for Polish exports. The event will include a B2B session, the Gdańsk Port Business Mixer, where Polish companies will meet directly with Japanese importers, distributors, and investors.

The Port of Gdańsk, Poland’s largest seaport and the leading container hub on the Baltic Sea, has long been an important hub for international relations, annually collaborating with partners from Singapore, Korea, and Vietnam. The choice of Japan is no coincidence: for decades, the country has set standards in shipping, shipbuilding, and port logistics. For Polish companies, this represents an opportunity to expand exports in the agrifood sector, as well as in areas such as logistics, intermodal transport, shipbuilding, pharmaceuticals, and green technologies.

“Thanks to the dynamic development of its infrastructure, the Port of Gdansk is becoming a natural hub for European companies to enter Far Eastern markets,” noted Port President Dorota Pyc.

The organizers emphasize that participation in the mission opens the possibility of concluding specific contracts and establishing long-term partnerships with Japanese companies.
