Ukraine’s largest private railcar operator, Lemtrans Group, and Rail Trans Investment, have completed the first phase of construction of the Fastiv Container Terminal. The project includes the construction of two new railway lines and a modern container yard designed to store up to 1,350 TEUs. The terminal, covering over 13 hectares, is already capable of handling up to 19,000 TEUs per year, with future capacity expected to increase to 55,000 TEUs.
The infrastructure created will allow the terminal to handle full-length trains, ensuring efficient loading and unloading operations. It will offer comprehensive services, including a container depot and transportation management, staffing of various cargo categories—from grain and oil to automobiles and industrial equipment—as well as customs and brokerage services.

According to Lemtrans CEO Vladimir Mezentsev, the new terminal will not only be an investment in logistics development but also a contribution to Ukraine’s recovery and integration into the European economy. The company emphasized that the successful implementation of the project was made possible thanks to cooperation with local and regional authorities, as well as the support of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia.
