Rhenus Group has announced the appointment of three new executives who will play a key role in the next phase of growth and business integration. The decisions are related to the transformation of the Air & Ocean division, aimed at adapting to the changing market environment and strengthening customer solutions in key regions.
Joachim Hanssen has been appointed CEO of the Asia Pacific region (APAC) with responsibility for Greater China, Central Asia and Turkey, effective 1 August 2025. He has been with Rhenus for more than 20 years and is known for his success in expanding the company’s presence in Asia. Alberto Martinez, previously head of global shipping, will become CEO of Europe effective 1 October 2025. He will succeed Markus Lingoor, who will retire in 2026. Renée Tho will take over as Vice President Global Shipping.
The appointments underline Rhenus’ strategy to strengthen its regional management and develop a global product policy. The experience of new leaders in international logistics will allow the company to strengthen its position in key markets and implement long-term plans for growth and innovation.
