Container Terminal Mala, part of CLIP Group, has signed a contract with Polish infrastructure company TorKol for the design and construction of a high-tech intermodal terminal in Malaszewicze. The facility, located at the junction of the European Union and Eurasian transport corridors, will be one of the largest logistics investments in recent years in Central and Eastern Europe. Completion of construction is scheduled for June 2026.
The new terminal will serve two key transit routes – from China to Europe and from Europe to China. It will allow both rail-road and rail transhipments between broad (1,520 mm) and standard (1,435 mm) gauge. The project includes the laying of new tracks, the modernization of station parks, the construction of access roads and technical infrastructure, as well as equipping with modern handling equipment and IT systems.
President of Container Terminal Mala and CLIP Logistics Agnieszka Hyps noted that the terminal in Malaszewicze will become a key link in the EU transport infrastructure and will strengthen the company’s position as a supplier of modern intermodal solutions. According to her, cooperation with TorKol, which has extensive experience in the construction of railway and logistics facilities, guarantees high quality and timely completion of work.
