On June 28, 2025, in Istanbul, within the framework of the Global Forum on Transport Connectivity, a meeting was held between the Secretary General of the TRACECA PS IGU Asset Asavbayev and the President of the Turkish Investment Fund (TIF) Baghdad Amreyev. The parties discussed prospects for cooperation in joint support of regional transport projects.
Asavbayev presented the key initiatives of TRACECA, including the creation of the TRACECA Fund – a tool for attracting funding for priority projects in the region. He noted that partnership with TIF could be an important step towards strengthening transport integration in the wider Eurasian space.
In turn, Amreyev familiarized himself with the activities of the Fund, confirming his interest in cooperation with international financial institutions and participation in initiatives aimed at developing international infrastructure in the Turkic countries. The parties agreed to maintain dialogue and identify specific areas of interaction.
