COSCO Shipping Europe has announced the launch of the Black Sea Feeder Service (BFS), a regular sea route that will connect the Ukrainian port of Chornomorsk with the Turkish port of Kumport near Istanbul. The new service will provide a stable logistics connection for Ukraine to the global maritime transportation network, including destinations to the Far East.

COSCO Shipping Europe, a part of the Chinese corporation COSCO and operating in Europe since 1989, with its head office in Hamburg, is strengthening its logistics presence in the Black Sea region. BFS will open up new opportunities for the transshipment and export of Ukrainian cargo, which is especially important against the backdrop of the current geopolitical situation.

The company emphasizes that the resumption of regular shipping service to the Ukrainian port has not only economic but also political significance, demonstrating the gradual recovery of the country’s maritime industry after a full-scale Russian invasion.
