The meeting chaired by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov discussed the implementation of the instructions given by the Head of State at the Security Council meeting. Representatives of the Ministries of Transport and Finance, the Samruk-Kazyna Fund, as well as the National Company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy and the Border Service of the National Security Committee took part in the work. The main focus was on accelerating key infrastructure projects and modernizing border checkpoints.
KTZ, as a key operator of railway logistics, will play a central role in ensuring the timely implementation of agreements with neighboring countries and the introduction of “green corridors” for transit cargo. A decision was also made to modernize the oil refinery to stabilize prices for aviation fuel on the domestic market.
The Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Finance, together with KTZ, to ensure funding for priority projects affecting transit and trade within a week. First Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar must present a detailed plan for the implementation of these tasks within two days, followed by a visit to the regions.
