One of the world’s largest sea container carriers, the Danish company Maersk, has introduced a new corporate design for its containers. Instead of the traditional gray color used since 1973, the new containers will now be painted bright blue.
First of all, the new look will be given to 85,000 containers ordered from Chinese factories. In the future, all new Maersk containers will be produced in this color. At the same time, refrigerated containers will retain their usual white color.
Maersk ranks second in the world in terms of total container fleet capacity, behind the leader, MSC, by almost 1 million TEU. The new visual style symbolizes the brand’s renewal and the company’s desire to remain visible amid global changes in logistics.
