Ukrzaliznytsia’s subsidiary UZ Cargo Poland, in partnership with LTG Cargo Polska, successfully carried out the first transportation of oil products along the Lithuania-Poland-Ukraine route. For the first time, the transportation was carried out by UZ Cargo Poland as a licensed EU railway operator in Poland, providing a full range of freight forwarding services and using wagons owned by JSC Ukrzaliznytsia.

The company received all the necessary permits to operate in the European market: a license from UTK, a safety certificate from ERA in accordance with EU directives, and also concluded agreements with the Polish infrastructure operator PKP PLK S.A. This allowed UZ Cargo Poland not only to begin full-scale operations in the EU, but also to integrate into international logistics chains.

The immediate plans include expanding cargo transportation routes from Ukraine to EU countries, including Romania, Hungary and Slovakia. UZ Cargo Poland is actively developing multimodal transportation on the European 1435 mm gauge and Ukrainian 1520 mm gauge, acting as an important link in ensuring logistical stability between Ukraine and the EU.
