Sweden’s second-largest container port, Helsingborg, has reported a 50% reduction in container handling after implementing the N4 operating system from Kaleris. The solution has improved the overall efficiency of the terminal through digital berth planning, dynamic yard management and advanced analytics of operations.

Since the system’s launch, productivity measured in Gross Moves Per Hour has increased by 8%, while the terminal’s capacity within the existing area has increased by 30%. This was made possible by optimizing processes based on data.

According to the port’s CIO, Sandjin Redzepagic, the implementation of N4 is an important step towards achieving the goal of making Helsingborg the most efficient port in Sweden by 2035. Kaleris emphasized that the project has become a model for successful digital transformation of port infrastructure.
