In the first quarter of 2025, 2,375 trains passed through the key transport hub of Khorgos, an increase of 28.5% compared to the same period last year. The volume of transported cargo reached 3.336 million tons, which was a record figure for the beginning of the year and an increase of 26%.
Today, 87 routes run through the station, connecting China with 18 countries and 46 cities. Khorgos strengthens its position as a strategic transit hub, playing an important role in the development of China-Central Asia routes.
Overall, the number of trains traveling from China to Central Asian countries increased by 25.5% and amounted to 3,582 trains, which indicates the growing demand for rail transportation in the region.
