Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways Rovshan Rustamov met with OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioglu at the Baku International Sea Trade Port. The talks focused on prospects for cooperation in the field of transport and logistics, as well as the development of regional ties.
The OSCE delegations presented information on the transport and logistics potential of Azerbaijan within the framework of the initiative “Development of Green Ports and Connectivity in the Caspian Region”. Particular attention was paid to the integration of the Baku Port with Azerbaijan Railways, which, as part of ongoing reforms, is aimed at expanding the country’s transit capabilities and increasing the efficiency of cargo transportation along international corridors.
The parties noted that joint projects will strengthen Azerbaijan’s position as a key transport hub and will contribute to the sustainable development of the region as a whole.
