The Eurasian Economic Commission and the Executive Committee of the CIS Coordination Transport Conference are preparing to sign a strategic plan for cooperation in the field of transport, logistics and international transport corridors until 2030. This was announced by the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the EEC Arzybek Kozhoshev at the International Economic Forum of the CIS countries.
According to Kozhoshev, the creation of a unified infrastructure and the modernization of the EAEU transport corridors not only reduces the time and cost of transportation, but also contributes to expanding access to markets, stimulating sustainable growth in the economies of the participating countries. Particular attention is paid to interaction with the CIS as a key partner of the union.
In the context of digitalization, the commission is developing an integrated information system of the EAEU, which has already united national platforms into a single ecosystem. This allows for the formation of a supranational digital infrastructure and ensures seamless logistics within the union, laying a solid foundation for the future transport and logistics framework of the region.
