DHL Group and the international e-commerce platform Temu have signed a memorandum of understanding, which solidifies the deepening of their strategic partnership. The main goal of the cooperation is to develop logistics solutions, support small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in mature and emerging markets, especially in Eastern Europe and the Middle East. Both parties emphasized their commitment to compliance with trade standards and sustainable development.
DHL will provide Temu with a range of logistics services, including multimodal transportation, local order fulfillment and last mile. The company will become a key partner for Temu in implementing the “local-to-local” strategy in Europe, where up to 80% of sales are planned to be provided by local suppliers. This will allow European sellers not only to scale within the region, but also to enter global markets.
According to Katja Busch, Head of Customer Solutions and Innovation at DHL, the combination of Temu’s innovative platform and DHL’s logistics capabilities will create efficient and sustainable solutions for both businesses and consumers. Temu, in turn, expects to strengthen its position in the EMEA regions with the help of DHL and expand access to affordable goods for customers around the world.
