President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and President of Slovenia Nataša Pirc-Musar discussed prospects for expanding transport and logistics ties between the countries. One of the key issues was the possible connection of the Slovenian port of Luka Koper to the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor, which will open up new routes for cargo transportation.
The leaders reached a mutual understanding on this issue and instructed relevant agencies to develop specific measures to increase the volume of mutual trade. Kazakhstan also expressed interest in studying Slovenian experience in water resources management and declared its readiness to work together in this area.
The talks underscore the two countries’ desire to strengthen economic ties and develop infrastructure projects that can improve the efficiency of transit routes and ensure sustainable water supply.
