ASCO continues to implement innovative technologies to reduce harmful emissions in line with its ESG strategy. In cooperation with the Swedish company QTAGG, the EcoPilot system was installed on the ferry “Azerbaijan” (RoPax type), optimizing fuel costs.

The first sea trial of the new equipment was successful. It is expected that the use of “EcoPilot” will reduce fuel consumption and reduce CO₂ emissions by about 6% during each voyage. The system automatically adjusts the route and speed of the vessel, taking into account weather conditions, sea currents and design features.

The use of such technologies contributes to the environmental sustainability of maritime transportation. ASCO plans to expand the use of “EcoPilot” on other vessels of its fleet, which will significantly improve the efficiency of voyages and reduce the negative impact on the environment.
