As of 28 February 2025, the old truck parking lot at the Csepel Terminal in Budapest will be permanently closed. Now, the area can only be accessed via the new cargo entrance, which has modern parking areas.
During the adaptation period, the old parking lot remained accessible, but a usage analysis showed that this was no longer necessary. With the closure of the old area, a new warehouse for empty containers with a capacity of approximately 1,000 TEU was created in its place. This solution will increase the efficiency of the terminal and optimize logistics processes.
A new traffic pattern for trucks has also been introduced – with one-way traffic from the Salak Street entrance to the former inspection area.
