The IDB exchange between Kazakhstan and China has been transferred to electronic format.

Kazakhstan and China have successfully transferred the process of exchanging foreign permit forms (FPF) to an electronic format. On the night of November 26-27, the system was tested, after which the electronic system was officially introduced. FPF is a key document for international cargo transportation, simplifying the departure of vehicles with cargo abroad.

Since the beginning of the year, a record number of FPFs have been exchanged between the countries – 190 thousand, which significantly exceeds the figures for previous years. Recently, the parties agreed on an additional exchange of 40 thousand permits, of which 30 thousand were processed through the new electronic system, and 10 thousand – in paper format. Over the past two years, the volume of permit exchange has increased from 50 to 230 thousand units, which confirms the active development of cooperation.

The transition to the electronic format was made possible by agreements reached during visits of senior government officials. The new format not only speeds up the transportation process, but also facilitates the work of transport companies. Today, Kazakhstan exchanges permits with 42 countries around the world, demonstrating an increase in the participation of Kazakhstani carriers in international cargo transportation from 31% in 2021 to 52% in 2023.
