MAWANI, HPA and HPC sign memorandum on development of port innovations.

An important MoU was signed at the IAPH World Port Conference in Hamburg between the Saudi Ports Authority (MAWANI), the Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) and HPC Hamburg Port Consulting (HPC). This strategic collaboration aims to drive innovation in port operations, port development and human resource development, thereby significantly changing the approach to port management at a global level.

The MoU highlights the partners’ shared goal of addressing key challenges in modern port operations, such as digitalization, optimization of waterway infrastructure and improving overall port efficiency. Each party brings its own unique competencies: MAWANI has experience in managing large ports, HPA focuses on port strategy and digitalization, and HPC has deep expertise in project management and maritime innovation.

This collaboration also opens up significant opportunities for the optimization of port infrastructure and technology solutions. The partners intend to exchange knowledge and best practices to advance approaches to port management and implement technological advances in the maritime sector. The signed MoU marks the beginning of a new phase in which MAWANI, HPA and HPC will work to create smart, sustainable and efficient ports that contribute to the development of the global supply chain.
