Ukraine and Hungary are planning to create an agro-industrial hub on the border.

The Ministers of Agriculture of Ukraine and Hungary discussed the prospects of creating an agro-industrial hub for processing, packaging and transshipment of Ukrainian products on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border. During his working visit to Hungary, the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Vitaliy Koval held talks with his Hungarian counterpart Istvan Nagy.

Koval noted that a roadmap for the implementation of this project is currently being developed. He emphasized the importance of establishing close horizontal ties between Ukrainian and Hungarian farmers and associations, which will strengthen the economies of both countries.

“It is necessary to establish strong horizontal links between Ukrainian and Hungarian farmers and associations. The economies of both countries will benefit from this. Our countries should already develop common deep processing and find new markets together,” Koval is convinced.
