In the first quarter of 2024, cargo turnover through the port of Aktau increased by 14%. The total volume of transshipment amounted to more than 1.1 million tons, including 24 thousand tons of grain and more than 920 thousand tons of oil and petroleum products.
The seaport also handled over 7.4 thousand twenty-foot equivalent containers (TEU), which is a 33% increase compared to the same period last year. Of these, more than 6.4 thousand TEUs were transported along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), which is 85% higher than last year.
