Representatives of Jiangsu Province (PRC), together with the State Committee for Development and Reform of the province, visited the seaport of Aktau in Kazakhstan. The discussion concerned the participation of the port of Lianyungang in a joint venture with the companies of the group of JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy for the construction and operation of a container hub in the port of Aktau.
This future container hub will combine transport flows on the TMTM, North-South and TRACECA routes, becoming a nodal service terminal on the western sea border of Kazakhstan. Chairman of the Board of JSC NC AMTP Abay Turikpenbaev gave a tour for the Chinese delegation to the areas of future development adjacent to the southern tip of the existing port, which represent strategically important and attractive logistics assets.
