LTG Group and Ukrainian Railways have forged a strategic partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aimed at bolstering international cooperation and establishing a joint intermodal route linking Klaipėda and Kyiv via Poland. This landmark agreement underscores the commitment of both rail carriers to collaborate closely and deploy necessary resources for the successful execution of this project.
Scheduled test runs of the intermodal cargo route are slated for this year, with plans for regular cargo transportation in the future. The initiative aims to establish an efficient transport corridor between Lithuania and Ukraine, leveraging the infrastructure of both countries’ railways, port terminals, and border crossings.
Signed in Vilnius by key executives including Yevhen Liashchenko of Ukrainian Railways and Egidijus Lazauskas of LTG Group, the MoU also outlines collaborative efforts to assess market potential, devise technological solutions, and formulate a comprehensive action plan for project implementation.
