The METRANS Group gains full ownership of Adria Rail

METRANS Group’s successful expansion in Europe reaches a significant milestone as Adria Rail, a Croatian company operating intermodal trains, officially becomes a 100% member of the METRANS Group. Less than a year ago, METRANS Group acquired a majority stake of 51% in Adria Rail, solidifying their strategic partnership.

To mark this collaboration, Adria Rail introduces a new logo, harmonizing with the visual identity of the METRANS Group. Specializing in intermodal train operations to, from, and through Croatia, Adria Rail plays a crucial role in connecting the Rijeka container terminal in the Adriatic Seas to its Indija terminal, located on the outskirts of Belgrade in Serbia. Covering over 70% of container traffic departing from the Brajdica Container Terminal in Rijeka, Adria Rail Operator holds a railway license for Croatia, emphasizing its commitment to seamless railway services within the region.

As the 20th terminal in the METRANS network, the Indija terminal in Serbia, in conjunction with regular trains to and from the Budapest HUB terminal, facilitates extensive connectivity across Europe. Adria Rail, equipped with METRANS wagons, soon-to-be METRANS locomotives, and a fleet of over 40 trucks in Serbia, mirrors the operational excellence of other METRANS entities. This ensures that METRANS customers receive top-quality services, regardless of their location within Europe.
