Kazakhstan and Neos, the Italian airline, have reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing collaboration in the realm of air communications. The agreement was solidified during a meeting between Kazakhstan’s Vice Minister of Transport, Talgat Lastayev, and Marco Beretta, the General Director of Neos Airlines in Kazakhstan and President of the Italian-Kazakh Trade Association. Acknowledging the success of Neos Airlines’ flights connecting Kazakhstan and Italy, both parties discussed ways to further improve air communication between the two nations.

While Italy stands as one of Kazakhstan’s top three global trading partners and leads among EU countries, bilateral trade surged by nearly 55% last year, reaching approximately $15 billion. Despite this growth, Kazakhstan sees ample potential for expanded trade, expressing readiness to boost exports to Italy across 110 product categories valued at over $900 million. Additionally, Italy consistently ranks among the top five largest EU investors in Kazakhstan’s economy, with total investments exceeding $7.3 billion over the past 17 years. The end of last year witnessed a notable uptick, with investment volumes soaring nearly 2.5 times to around $300 million.
