New freight semi-wagons produced by the Kazakhstan Wagon Construction Company (KWCC) in Ekibastuz have joined the expanding fleet of freight wagons at Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ). With the addition of 50 new domestically manufactured semi-wagons, the overall fleet is now equipped with modern technology meeting all requirements and boasting a payload capacity of 70 tons. These wagons come with a certificate of compliance with the Customs Union standards.
Vice President of KTZ, Tanirbergen Kusainov, emphasized that the new semi-wagons will be actively involved in transporting socially significant cargo such as construction materials, coal, and grain. The company continues its phased fleet renewal, having acquired over 25,000 wagons in the last decade. An additional purchase of around 3,000 freight wagons is planned by 2025.
