During the official visit of the President of Kazakhstan to the United States and his participation in the C5+1 Summit, JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy and the American corporation Wabtec signed a cooperation agreement on the training and professional development of railway personnel.
According to the agreement, in 2027, employees of KTZ-Freight Transportation LLC will undergo training at Wabtec’s production facilities in the United States. The program covers training specialists in the operation and maintenance of TE33AT series locomotives, as well as studying the design of HPCR EVO diesel engines. After the first stage, training will continue at Wabtec facilities in Kazakhstan, where participants will receive international certificates.
The corporation will also continue to support Kazakhstan’s Bolashak program, providing students and graduates with internships and practical training. The agreement aims to strengthen the human resources potential of Kazakhstan’s railway industry, implement innovative technologies, and improve the efficiency of rolling stock operations.
