DP World announced the expansion of its freight forwarding operations in Sweden and will open two new offices in Stockholm and Gothenburg in February 2026. The project aims to strengthen trade links between Swedish importers and exporters and key markets in the Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America.

The expansion is being implemented with the support of Foodtankers and Business Sweden. The new offices will operate through the Cargoes platform, providing improved EDI integration and faster customs procedures for Swedish companies seeking more transparent and faster logistics processes.

According to Stephen Whittingham, DP World’s Vice President for Northern Europe, the network expansion will create new jobs and strengthen the company’s environmental focus. Boyan Knightley, Head of DP World Sweden, emphasized that the goal in the first year is to shift 25% of cargo to rail and sea freight, reducing emissions and improving local customers’ access to global markets.
