Aviator Airport Alliance, part of the Avia Solutions Group and providing a full range of aviation services at 15 airports in Northern Europe, has signed a ground handling contract with Vietnam Airlines at Copenhagen Airport. The agreement supports the launch of the first direct flight between Vietnam and Northern Europe, which will begin on December 15, 2025, connecting Copenhagen with Ho Chi Minh City.
The new long-haul route will operate three times weekly, providing direct connections between the Nordic region and Southeast Asia. The one-way flight time will be approximately 11 hours and 40 minutes. Vietnam Airlines plans to operate Boeing 787 aircraft in a two-class configuration – 28 seats in Business Class and 283 in Economy Class.
Under the contract, Aviator will be responsible for the full range of ground handling and de-icing procedures for all Vietnam Airlines flights to Copenhagen. For Vietnam’s national carrier, entering the Copenhagen market will be its first step into Northern Europe and an important step in expanding its European route network, while for Aviator, it will strengthen its position in the long-haul segment.
