Grupa Azoty Koltar has signed an agreement on direct cooperation with Ukrainian Railways (Ukrzaliznytsia). The arrangement was concluded in mid-December and provides Koltar with authorisation to operate through the Jagodyn–Dorohusk and Medyka–Mostiska railway border crossings between Poland and Ukraine.

The cooperation is intended to streamline train handling procedures and support a smoother flow of rail traffic on the Polish-Ukrainian border, particularly in services linking Koltar with Ukrainian partners.

The agreement forms part of broader plans within the Grupa Azoty for the 2026–2030 period, where international rail transport plays a role, including services in the eastern direction. Direct coordination with Ukrainian Railways is expected to support cross-border rail movements under this framework.

Ukrainian Railways maintains similar direct cooperation arrangements with railway carriers from several neighbouring countries, including Slovakia, Hungary, Moldova and Romania, with services provided at close to 40 international railway border crossings.
