Laude Smart Intermodal is maintaining and expanding intermodal corridors for Ukrainian exports despite ongoing attacks on infrastructure linked to the war.

From Poland, Laude operates regular container services via Baltic Hub in Gdansk, positioning the Baltic Sea as a key outlet for Ukrainian cargo. In southern Europe, the company runs a route via Izmail to the Romanian port of Constanța. It also cooperates with the ports of Odesa and Chornomorsk on Black Sea traffic and maintains a rail-sea connection with Turkey.

The operator states that the intermodal model – using one container across rail, port and maritime legs without reloading cargo – has provided greater flexibility under disrupted conditions. The approach combines rail transport with maritime services in a single logistics chain.

Steel products currently account for a significant share of exports to EU and global markets, while grain flows are largely directed towards Black Sea ports. The company also reports a growing role for containerised traffic in Ukrainian exports.

In parallel, Laude Smart Intermodal is preparing for Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction in cooperation with Ukrzaliznytsia. It is also developing the “Time for Revolution” project, focused on positioning rail as a faster and more competitive option for customers.
