CEVA Logistics, a CMA CGM company, continues to implement its strategy to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, focusing on reducing emissions in its warehouse infrastructure, ground operations, and by implementing low-carbon solutions with its carrier partners. Alternative fuels, including sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), remain a key tool, especially given that Scope 3 emissions account for approximately 95% of the company’s carbon footprint.

As part of this strategy, CEVA Logistics has extended its partnership with Lufthansa Cargo, expanding its SAF offering to its airfreight customers. The initiative is being implemented as part of CEVA’s FORPLANET program, which aims to measure and optimize emissions, transition to sustainable transport, and develop reusable packaging and reverse logistics solutions to support the circular economy.

The parties are expanding their partnership based on an agreement signed in 2025 and plan to increase the volumes of SAF available to CEVA customers in 2026. While the use of SAF reduced emissions by approximately 8,000 tons of CO₂ in 2025, an additional 7,000 tons is expected in 2026, totaling approximately 15,000 tons over two years. The company emphasizes that scaling up the use of SAF is only possible through close collaboration across the supply chain and long-term partnerships.
