The Bertling Group – active in shipping, chartering, transport logistics, and IT for over 160 years, with headquarters in Hamburg and a network of 50 offices across 30 countries – has announced the acquisition of the logistics company Pfaff International GmbH, based in Baienfurt (Upper Swabia). The deal, announced on June 15, 2026, aims to strengthen Bertling’s position in Europe and expand its network within Germany.

By integrating Pfaff – a specialist in tailored road, sea, and air transport solutions – Bertling will expand its footprint in southern and northern Germany, as well as in Rauma, Finland. The company will gain access to Pfaff’s established client base, enabling it to enhance service for existing customers and unlock new growth areas, including project logistics, oversized cargo transport, and air freight.

Bertling emphasizes that the transition will be seamless: Pfaff’s clients will retain their existing contacts and service levels while gaining access to an expanded range of global logistics solutions. Company leadership highlights the deal’s strategic importance, noting the strengthening of Bertling’s German hub and the pooling of expertise, systems, and operational processes to drive further growth in the European market.
