Talgat Aldybergenov, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy” (KTZ), met with Stephanie von Friedeburg, Managing Director and Global Head at Citi, ahead of the Foreign Investors’ Council meeting attended by the President of Kazakhstan. During the talks, the parties reviewed current cooperation and prospects for implementing new joint projects.
Particular attention was paid to attracting international financing for KTZ projects. The participants noted the successful track record of collaboration in sustainable finance and the implementation of locomotive fleet renewal programs. Furthermore, they discussed opportunities for Citi’s continued involvement in financing transport infrastructure and developing the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route.
Following the meeting, KTZ and Citi reaffirmed their intention to expand their strategic partnership. Both companies expressed interest in continuing cooperation on infrastructure projects aimed at developing Kazakhstan’s transport sector and strengthening international logistics connections.
