A consortium comprising Spanish Ership, German shipping line Aug. Bolten, and Swiss Nova Marine acquired a stake in VCK Port Logistics, acquiring shares from VCK Group. VCK Group announced the deal on January 9. The new partnership also includes Verenigd Cargadoorskantoor and Waterland Terminal. All companies will operate under the management of the Dutch holding company Maja Stuwadoorsgroep, in which Ership and Aug. Bolten/Nova Marine already acquired stakes in February 2025.

VCK has been operating in the Port of Amsterdam since the early 20th century and, over more than 100 years, has become a key operator in the general cargo segment. The company operates two terminals, including Waterland Terminal, and also provides stevedoring and logistics services. The combination of assets will create a strong player in the breakbulk and bulk segments, focused on serving a wider and more diversified customer base across Europe.

VCK emphasized that the partnership opens up opportunities for further growth, expanding its range of handling solutions, and strengthening its international presence, including the development of terminals, sea and inland shipping. At the same time, the companies will retain operational independence, their current management, and their familiar format for working with staff and clients. The Port of Amsterdam highly appreciated VCK’s contribution to the harbor’s development over more than a century and expressed its willingness to continue collaborating with the company and its new shareholders.
