In the port of Kuryk, at the berth of the Sarzha terminal, a ceremonial launch of the new dry cargo ship Nasipkali Marabayev, named after the outstanding oilman and public figure of Kazakhstan, took place. The vessel is managed by a joint Kazakh-Arab shipping company.
The dry cargo ship is equipped with modern technologies and is designed to transport dry and general cargo. Its carrying capacity is 7,000 tons, length – 136 meters, height – 7 meters, which makes it one of the promising participants in marine logistics in the Caspian.
As part of the ceremony, Semurg Invest and Freeseas Container Shipping signed a memorandum on attracting investment in the construction of new vessels. The joint venture plans to increase the fleet to six units, strengthening Kazakhstan’s position in Caspian shipping.
