Aena airports achieve record cargo volumes in 2024.

In 2024, the airports of the Aena Group handled more than 1.42 million tonnes of cargo, an 18% increase compared to the previous year. The network includes 46 airports and two heliports in Spain, London Luton Airport, and 17 Brazilian airports.

Spanish airports reached a historical maximum, handling 1.28 million tonnes of cargo (+19%). The leaders were Madrid Airport with almost 767 thousand tonnes (+19%) and Barcelona with 182 thousand tonnes (+16%). Zaragoza Airport showed the most significant growth – more than 181 thousand tonnes (+40%), while Vitoria recorded a decrease to 70 thousand tonnes (-1.7%).

In Brazil, cargo turnover also increased. Six ANB airports handled 58.8 thousand tons (+10%), of which 48 thousand tons were in Recife (+9%). Eleven Boab airports transported 52 thousand tons (+16%), and Congonhas in São Paulo – almost 43 thousand tons (+17%).
