The test launch of the DocPort marine module, the future basis of the Maritime Single Window implemented by the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA), has started in the Yuzhny seaport. The digital platform is designed to unite all administrative procedures related to the handling of vessels in ports, ensuring a one-time submission of data, transparency of actions and equal access to information for all participants in the process.

Testing in Yuzhny is the first stage of the implementation of a multi-module system, which by the end of summer will cover almost the entire range of administrative functions in the country’s seaports. As noted by the head of the USPA, Oleksandr Semirga, the team is simultaneously working on the technical launch of the functionality, adapting it to the market, as well as the implementation of European legislation and the harmonization of digital procedures with international standards.

The development and implementation of the Single Maritime Window is a direct obligation of Ukraine to the International Maritime Organization, which requires the digitalization of the exchange of data on ship activities from 2024. After testing is completed in the port of Yuzhnaya, the DocPort system will be scaled to all sea ports of the country. Integration with the IT systems of the State Customs and the State Border Service is also planned for full interaction of all participants in the port infrastructure.
