Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) continues its active development in accordance with its strategic plan, focusing not only on strengthening its position in the Caspian Sea, but also on expanding the geography of its activities. An important milestone was the partnership with the world leader in ship management, V.Ships, aimed at improving the quality of operations and developing personnel.
During the meeting between the Chairman of the Board of ASCO, Rauf Veliyev, and the Chief Operating Officer of V.Ships, Allan Falkenberg, strategic projects were discussed, including the development of sailing personnel. ASCO plans to train local personnel by providing internships on V.Ships ships, with the aim of introducing new ship segments and strengthening the command staff.
The partnership also includes an assessment of the remuneration system and management of floating crew, as well as the exchange of experience for onshore personnel. The pilot project using V.Ships’ digital platform “ShipSure” will aim to improve the efficiency of operations on ASCO vessels.
