The container turnover of the Baku port for January-July 2025 reached a record high of 60,429 TEU, which is 54.2% higher than the figure for the same period in 2024 (39,184 TEU). The growth reflects the active development of the port and the increase in its transit capabilities.
The press service of the port notes that the positive dynamics will continue until the end of the year, and the volume of container transshipment may reach 100 thousand TEU, demonstrating stable growth and high demand for transportation through the Baku port.
After the integration of the port with ADY, the annual capacity was increased from 100 thousand TEU to 150 thousand TEU without additional investments. This made it possible to quickly expand the transit capabilities of Azerbaijan and strengthen its position on international logistics routes.
