DHL Group increased revenue by 3% in 2024.

Logistics giant DHL Group ended 2024 with revenue growth of 3% to €84.2 billion, despite a challenging economic environment. The company posted particularly strong results in the fourth quarter: revenue increased by 6.4% to €22.7 billion and operating profit (EBIT) increased by 12.9% to €1.9 billion. However, overall EBIT for the year decreased by 7.2% to €5.9 billion, which nevertheless remains above the pre-pandemic level.

The Port of Liverpool has opened its first deep-water berth in 40 years.

The Port of Liverpool has opened a new deepwater bulk handling berth, the first such facility built in 40 years. It is located at the Alexandra Complex, operated by Peel Ports, and has already received its first vessel, Andesborg. The berth is capable of handling Handymax class vessels, significantly expanding the port’s logistics capabilities.

Craiss Austria expands logistics capacity in Ebergassing.

Craiss Generation Logistik Austria GmbH und Co. KG is strengthening its position in the mobility sector by expanding logistics services at its largest site in Ebergassing, Austria. Since its launch in autumn 2024, the company has expanded its cooperation with the leading mobility solutions provider by also taking over the customer’s second business area. The logistics provider has equipped seven warehouses with modern storage technology and is continuing to modernize them, as well as integrating IT systems.

KTZ and PTC Holding to invest $30 million in Poti terminal.

In Baku, at a meeting of the working group on the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), JSC NC KTZ and PTC Holding signed a memorandum on the construction of a multimodal container terminal in the Georgian port of Poti. The planned capacity of the facility will exceed 80 thousand TEU per year, and the investment volume will amount to $30 million.

DACHSER helps German food banks with logistics.

Logistics provider DACHSER and Tafel Deutschland have entered into a cooperation agreement until the end of 2027 to increase the volume of food donations. DACHSER will use its Food Logistics expert network to collect food from producers and deliver it to the distribution points of the regional Tafel branches.
