KTZ is shaping the future of Kazakhstan’s railway industry.

JSC NC KTZ is actively transforming its HR and operational policies in response to global changes in the transportation and logistics industry. Over the past five years, transit traffic has grown by 35%, while container traffic has increased fivefold. As part of these structural changes, the regional branches of KTZ – Freight Transportation LLC have been integrated into the Main Network Directorate, which has grown to 57,000 employees. A new branch, the Transportation Process Directorate, has been created, uniting wagon depots and dispatch centers.

Chinese ports set a new cargo turnover record in August 2025.

In August 2025, cargo throughput at China’s sea and river ports reached 1.59 billion tons, up 4.7% year-on-year, according to the National Bureau of Statistics of China. Transshipment at the country’s seaports alone exceeded 1 billion tons for the second time this year, approaching a historical high of 1.6 billion tons per month.

An innovative multifunctional boat for port operations has been created in Riga.

Latvian engineering companies SIA “Belss” and SIA “Anytec Productions,” specializing in the production of premium aluminum vessels in Bolderaja (Port of Riga), have developed the country’s first multifunctional port infrastructure servicing boat. The vessel has already entered service at the Port of Salacgriva, marking a significant step in the development of Latvian shipbuilding and confirming that Riga can build modern, technologically sophisticated vessels that are competitive in the global market.

AMPU and the Baltic Ports Organization begin strategic cooperation.

The Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA) and the Baltic Ports Organization (BPO) signed a memorandum of strategic partnership aimed at developing cooperation, exchanging experience, and implementing joint initiatives in the port industry. The document was signed by USPA representative Vitaliy Vaidich and BPO Secretary General Bohdan Oldakovskyi during the Baltic Ports Conference in Gdansk.
