The British government has backed plans to build a third runway at London’s Heathrow Airport, Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves said. According to her, the project will create more than 100,000 jobs and boost the country’s economic growth.
Reeves stressed that Heathrow is the largest air hub in the UK and Europe, and the need to expand the airport is now more urgent than ever. She noted that the implementation of the project will attract investment, increase exports and strengthen the country’s global ties.
