Brummer Logistik in Neuburg am Inn, Germany, was one of the first to receive the Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 electric trucks. In mid-December, twelve of these vehicles entered service in the DACHSER network. The electric trucks, with a range of around 500 kilometers, will be used to transport products on both regional and long-haul routes in Germany and Austria.

Series production of the 40-ton electric trucks from Mercedes-Benz Trucks began at the end of 2024, and Brummer Logistik was one of the first to receive them. Company CEO Max Rai noted that the eActros 600 should replace diesel trucks in the fleet, and a mileage of around 90,000 km per year meets the carrier’s requirements. An important role is played by the ability to travel 500 km on a single charge, which makes them convenient for supermarket logistics and long-haul transport.

The introduction of the eActros 600 required significant investments in charging infrastructure. In Neuburg am Inn, fast charging stations with 11 stationary and 2 mobile charging points have been installed, supporting a power of up to 400 kW. Electricity is supplied exclusively from renewable sources, including solar panels with a total output of 2,900 kW and an energy storage system with a capacity of 3,680 kWh. This allows Brummer Logistik to use electric transport efficiently and reduce the carbon footprint of freight transport.
