cargo-partner expands intermodal transport in Europe.

The international transport and logistics operator of freight partners is expanding its range of services to include intermodal transport between various countries in Europe, including Turkey, the UK and Ireland. Intermodal transport, combining rail and road transport, provides significant benefits in global economy, sustainability and reliability.

In response to persistent shortages of truck drivers and private traffic congestion near Europe’s borders, the trucking partner has introduced a range of intermodal mechanisms covering such networks both within and outside the EU. The company’s solutions include the use of 45-foot containers and 13.6-meter inclined trailers, which allows cargo to be transported without reloading between different calendar shipments. This method not only reduces costs, but also minimizes the environmental impact, resulting in up to 80% reduction in CO₂ emissions compared to long road transport.

The company offers flexible routes with frequent departures to Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, as well as Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. Belgium and the Netherlands were used as gateways to services in the UK and Ireland. Intermodal transport is especially effective for long-distance routes over 1,000 kilometers, providing competitive delivery times and stable prices. Supported by Europe’s extensive network of rail hubs and basic door-to-door delivery, intermodal logistics ensures reliability and efficiency in an increasingly challenging environment.
