Cargo transportation in Kazakhstan increased by 10.8% in six months.

In January–June 2025, 550.8 million tons of cargo were transported in Kazakhstan by all modes of transport, which is 53.6 million tons or 10.8% more than in the same period last year.

The largest contribution to growth was made by rail and pipeline transport — 222.1 million tons (+12.4%) and 171 million tons (+18.2%), respectively. Air transportation amounted to 7.2 million tons (+6.1%), sea transportation — 1.9 million tons, which is 42% more than in the previous year. The volume of road transportation increased by 1.8%.

The significant growth in sea transportation and the stable increase in other modes of transport underscore the active development of the country’s logistics infrastructure and the strengthening of Kazakhstan’s transit potential.
