Turkish Cargo has resumed cargo flights to Maastricht-Aachen Airport (MST), opening two weekly flights on the Quito-Miami-Maastricht-Istanbul route. The main focus of the transportation is on flowers, perishable goods and general cargo.

DACHSER surpasses €8 billion mark and increases investments.

Logistics company DACHSER closed 2024 with revenue growth of 13%, surpassing the €8 billion mark for the first time, to a final figure of €8.027 billion. This result was achieved through both organic growth (+4.7%) and major acquisitions: DACHSER & FERCAM Italia, Frigoscandia and Brummer are included in the report for the first time. Transport volumes increased by 7.6% to 83.2 million shipments, while tonnage increased by 10.2% to 44.1 million tonnes.

KTZ and Slovenia expand cooperation within the Trans-Caspian route.

Baltic Hub strengthens its position: new services from Maersk and MSC and increased capacity.

The Baltic Hub container terminal in Gdansk has announced the launch of four new shipping services. As of the end of March, two weekly Maersk voyages as part of the Gemini Cooperation alliance will regularly call at the port, connecting it with Bremerhaven and Wilhelmshaven. From April, they will be joined by two MSC routes on the Asia-Europe routes as part of the Britannia and Albatros services.

HHLA and Fraunhofer CML tested a robot to automate rail operations at the Port of Hamburg.

Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) and the Fraunhofer Center for Maritime Logistics and Services (CML) have successfully completed the “Pin Handling mR” project – the development of a mobile robot for the automatic rearrangement of locking pins on container wagons. The tests were carried out under real conditions at the HHLA Container Terminal Tollerort (CTT), where the robot demonstrated its ability to move autonomously along a train and perform tasks precisely using a manipulator.

Baltic Hub has started test transshipment at the new terminal T3.

The first transhipment of an ocean container ship took place at the new T3 berth in the Port of Gdansk — Baltic Hub received the MSC Stacey, a vessel with a length of almost 366 meters and a capacity of 15,000 TEU. The visit took place on March 30 as part of a side event and became an important milestone in the implementation of the large-scale T3 project.

Port of Tallinn transfers land to the state for Rail Baltica in Muuga.

AS Tallinna Sadam signed an agreement with the Estonian Ministry of Climate to transfer eight land plots with a total area of ​​approximately 165 thousand square meters to the state. These territories are necessary for the construction of the Rail Baltica railway station in the Port of Muuga, a key infrastructure facility of the international corridor.
