The Government of Kazakhstan has made a number of decisions aimed at implementing the President’s instructions to expand the country’s transport and transit potential. The Ministries of Transport and Finance, together with the Border Service of the National Security Committee, have been instructed to speed up and improve the quality of public services at interstate checkpoints in order to eliminate cargo delays at the border.

AMPU took part in a meeting with the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries of Korea in Warsaw.

A working meeting was held in Warsaw within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries of the Republic of Korea. The Head of the International Relations Department Oleksiy Panasyuk took part from the State Enterprise “Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority” (USPA). The central topic was the presentation of the report on the “Master Plan and Feasibility Study for the Reconstruction of Ukrainian Ports”.

HHLA increased revenue and profit in the first half of 2025.

Despite the weak German economy and geopolitical instability, Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) significantly improved its financial performance in January–June 2025. The company’s consolidated revenue increased by 16.3% to €884.5 million, and operating profit (EBIT) by 34.8% to €79.4 million. Net profit after taxes and minority interests amounted to €19.1 million versus €13.2 million a year earlier.

DHL opens new airfreight warehouse in Frankfurt.

DHL Global Forwarding has begun operations at the new aviation terminal in the CargoCity South area of ​​Frankfurt Airport. The 24,500 sq. m complex built by Fraport unites the company’s previously disparate facilities and is capable of handling up to 300,000 tons of air cargo per year.

Ukraine and Morocco have opened up new opportunities for road transport.

On June 28, 2025, Ukraine and Morocco signed an agreement on international road transport, which for the first time secured direct transport links between the two countries. The document was concluded during the global transport forum in Turkey and provides for a simplified procedure for cargo and passenger flights, including direct and transit transportation.

DP World strengthens position in Africa through partnership with Japan’s ITOCHU.

DP World has signed a memorandum of understanding with ITOCHU, one of Japan’s largest trading corporations, to jointly develop logistics, supply chain infrastructure and distribution in sub-Saharan Africa. The agreement was signed during the TICAD9 conference in Yokohama with the participation of DP World’s Chief Operating Officer for Logistics, Beat Simon, and ITOCHU’s top managers.

Hitachi Rail unveils digital platform to speed up intermodal transport in Germany.

Hitachi Rail, together with MT Logistics and DB Cargo, launched the digital platform InGa-Z, created within the framework of the joint venture Protostellar with the support of the German Federal Ministry of Transport. The solution is part of the “Future of Rail Freight” program and combines a terminal operating system with mobile applications, which makes freight terminal operations faster and easier.
